Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate electronic components related to the production process or the quality of final product parts and determine when there is a need for changes to the process.
  • Assembly of circuitry and components to complete experimental prototype of product while creating and implementing assembly instructions and operators manuals.
  • Implement and decipher complex plans, drawings and diagrams, bills of materials, blueprints, and instruction manuals in order to complete installation or practice troubleshooting of electronics systems, parts, and wiring networks.
  • Data analysis and interpretation of the product from tests and actual projects.
  • Occasional supervision and instruction of other technical personnel & co-workers.
  • Implementation and inventorying of critical electronic components for the products such as switches, transducers, PCB’s, fasteners, wiring components, etc.
  • Record information and results about product or electronic performance by detailing testing methods, documenting possible issues and listing part specifications.
  • Partner with field services technician(s) to fine tune the commissioning, repair and diagnostic processes in the work environment.
  • Diagnose and repair problems with malfunctioning circuitry networks, ineffective electronic pieces, and missing or inoperative parts.
  • Maintain all equipment and components by performing scheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring calibration of equipment and scheduling replacement when needed.
  • Communicate with customers, team members, engineers or management to determine possible problems or update individuals with work progress.
  • Improve understanding and expertise in the field by regularly attending jobsite visits, workshops, classes, conferences and training sessions in electronics and engineering.

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous Experience with In-Line Inspection Pipeline Tools is a PLUS
  • Previous Experience as electronics technician or similar role.
  • Downhole on Pipeline Inspection past experience.
  • Hands-on experience with circuitry and electronics testing.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and strong manual dexterity.
  • Minimum Associates degree or apprenticeship as an electronics technician.
  • Certificate of completion in the electronics engineering field.
  • Excellent ability to solve complex problems.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to work with others and in groups.
  • Adapt to frequently changing schedule and tight deadlines
  • Some travel (<25%) required.
