The name says it all. The Pit Cleaning Pig® was designed to clean way down into the pits caused by corrosion in a pipeline. This pig gets its name from the pit cleaning brushes that are mounted on the bolt circle of a mandrel body. The brushes are made of a series of fine wire round bundles in 2 or 3 rows that allow for the fine wire to flex into the pits and scrap out loose debris and mill scale. Used in combination with a chemical cleaning program they are an excellent way to limit the corrosion inside a pipeline.
